Lead Data Architect @ Digital Hub Warsaw at Bayer

Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):

• Master degree in computer science, big data, engineering or a comparable subject
• 8+ years' working experience in the field of Data & Analytics, experience in the area of big data an data science as a data- & solution architect and with experience in CPG/FMCG industry is a pro, but not a must.
• Practical & theoretical knowhow in one or more of the following technologies: Databricks and Snowflake. Additional knowhow in Azure Data Factory & Azure Data Lake Gen2, Python, AzureML and cloud native application development would be a plus. Generally, a good understanding of spark-based ETL processing, event-driven data processing, SQL, and cloud computing solutions in the area of data & analytics is needed.
• Profound data architecture & data life cycle knowhow, software development lifecycle understanding as well as dev/ops knowhow and data management skills (data cataloguing, data quality management) is required.
• If possible, data knowledge in commercial area and or financial data domain (e.g. P&L, SD data, Cash Flow, etc).
• Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgement.
• Interpersonal and communication skills, active listening, consulting, challenging, presentation skills
• Fluent in English, both written & spoken, intercultural awareness and willingness to travel

The Data & Analytics team at Bayer Consumer Health focuses on bringing digital transformation and innovation by creating best in class analytical solutions enabling data-driven decision making and performance optimization for Bayer Consumer Health organization.

You will be part of the data & analytics organization and are responsible to own the global Market Data Asset and technically guide projects that use it. You partner with business stakeholders, data scientists, analytics leads as well as implementation partners/vendors and are the leading data architect for our analytical products in the market analytics area. Your strength is to ensure proper data management, data ingestion and data pipeline orchestration and architecture descriptive - and advanced analytics solutions in a modern cloud environment.
