Head of Retail - Nationwide Operations

Our partner is an international, well-established company operating at the intersection of mobility and modern retail. We are looking for an experienced Head of Retail – Nationwide Operations to take ownership of a complex retail network and play a key role in driving its continued growth and performance.
This is a senior leadership position with a strong focus on people leadership, operational excellence and business performance. You will lead an experienced team, work closely with senior management and have a direct impact on the overall performance and profitability of the network.
Your responsibilities
- Lead, develop and inspire the Area Manager team, setting clear objectives and performance expectations
- Drive operational excellence and commercial performance across the retail network
- Oversee business planning, budgeting, KPIs and performance management
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and EBIT performance
- Lead the partner/dealer management framework, including performance evaluation and development
- Ensure compliance with operational, contractual, legal and HSSE requirements
- Monitor market and competitive trends and translate insights into actionable business decisions
- Lead nationwide projects and strategic initiatives
- Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support key business decisions
What we are looking for
- More than 5 years of relevant professional experience, combined with substantial leadership experience
- Proven experience in leading managers and/or larger teams
- Background in retail, FMCG, mobility, energy or another network-based business environment; experience within the oil & gas or broader energy sector is also highly relevant
- Strong commercial and business acumen with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Strategic mindset with the ability to turn strategy into effective execution
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English
- University degree in Business, Economics, Management or a related field
